It's less about the convenience and more the playfulness that brings the creative process to its fruition.
As simple as starting with sketches and concepts, thereafter 3D models - allowing for easy reproduction, alteration, metal and stone weights, also great for series designs - high quality renders, and finally a prototyped piece to hold in your hands.
With a background in graphic design and multimedia, I prefer to sketch all designs by hand first and only then begin to construct in 3D, using programmes like rhinoceros, matrix, z-brush and a few others depending on the requirements of the piece before rendering and checking the technical drawings.
Formlabs and Solidscape 3D printers stand in-house, we are using resin and castable wax to build 3D printed models in the highest quality available. Casting, setting and finishing is also possible.
The matter of privacy and discretion on all consultations, ie. design is taken very seriously.
